Pentecost Celebration 2017
Once again Christians in Merseyside will be coming together to Celebrate Pentecost on Sunday June 4th 2017 This year will also be recognising the 50th Anniversary of the Metropolitan Cathedral. The main service will be at 3pm, but ahead of that there will be an opportunity to visit the flower festival at the Cathedral - join in a musical celebration in Stowell Brown Square (Behind Hope Street Costa) and also visit the Plaza cafe to discover more about the Hope Charter.

The open air celebration in the square will include music from

Melling Gospel Choir
Love and Joy Gospel Choir

This is a great opportunity to head into Liverpool to enjoy an afternoon on Hope Street, that can also be a significant Christian witness to our community. Several church groups have already made plans to head into Liverpool together after their morning service. Churches Together in Merseyside is working with Flame Radio to produce the musical celebration in the square, in the shadow of the famous Baptist preacher and social reformer Hugh Stowell Brown. Baptists from Merseyside (and beyond!) are encouraged to come and be part of this annual Christian witness.

Pentecost events are also planned at Chester Cathedral and Manchester City Centre.
