This is a time of year when a lot of people get out in their gardens. Statistics indicate that the average UK household spends around £185 each year on their garden. In our North Western area, the figure is even higher at £240.
Not everyone will have a garden, but even if we have a tub or a window box,
or simply decide to buy a bunch of flowers to brighten up the house or cheer
up a friend - it wouldn’t be that hard to spend a fiver!
Spring is a great time to enjoy the outdoors - and why not? As Christians we
celebrate creation as something that has its origin in our God and signs of new life remind us of the eternal life that is ours through Christ. So alongside
the time and money spent enjoying the outdoors, would you be willing to
also invest £5 a month to support local churches here in NWBA? If everyone
did just that, it would make a real difference!
Through our Count me in scheme, we invite you to consider investing a small amount each month,
the same amount you might spend on an everyday item without really thinking about it, in a new and emerging
mission project.
