June is the month when the weather starts hotting up, and who can resist an ice cream when the sun comes out? In the UK, the average citizen goes through 6 litres of ice cream every year, and with a total expenditure of over a billion pounds, we certainly know how to stop and buy one. And these days, it's not unusual to pay £3 or more for a luxury cone, once the extra toppings and sugar straws are added.
But we all deserve a treat now and then, so why not? We're not saying that you shouldn’t indulge yourself once in a while, but just ask whether you might make the same commitment to mission. You'll probably spend a fiver on ice cream this month without really noticing. A regular donation to Home Mission of only £5 a month can make a real difference to the work of local churches in NWBA. If you can spare a fiver a month can we count you in?
Through our Count me in scheme, we invite you to consider investing a small amount each month,
the same amount you might spend on an everyday item without really thinking about it, in a new and emerging
mission project.
